About a month ago, a few individuals showed up to comment on Jonn\u2019s Derek Kent Rose article<\/a> from early June 2012.\u00a0 At least one of these individuals appears to be defending Rose.\u00a0\u00a0 That individual specifically questioned whether or not the original DD214 for Rose presented in Jonn\u2019s article is genuine or not<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Well, here\u2019s a FOIA response from the National Personnel Records Center on Derek Kent Rose, dated 14 February 2013<\/a> (format is downloadable Adobe PDF).\u00a0 For those who are not familiar with the NPRC:\u00a0 that is the Federal activity that has archive responsibility for the Official Military Personnel Files (OMPF) for all<\/em> veterans.\u00a0 In other words:\u00a0 they have his military records.\u00a0 And they consult those records when responding to a FOIA request about an individual.<\/p>\n

FOIA responses don’t typically include a DD214.\u00a0 However, they do include dates of service; assignments; units and locations; awards and decorations; and other info.\u00a0 This one includes all of those – and a bit more, if you have the background to understand what’s there.<\/p>\n

This new FOIA is 100% consistent with the original DD214 Jonn posted.\u00a0 In particular, it shows the same dates of service, the same decorations, and a punitive discharge (inferred from the fact that the discharge authority is NAMALA and occurred well before the normal end of his enlistment).\u00a0 It also shows the same \u201clost time\u201d due to confinement (14 Mar to 25 Apr 1997).\u00a0 So yes, \u201cyoudontsay\u201d \u2013 the original DD214 Jonn posted does indeed appear to be the \u201creal deal\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0 This appears means Rose appears to be a forger as well as a lying sack of . . . stuff (LSoS).<\/p>\n

By the way:\u00a0 there\u2019s a good reason for the old saying \u201c15 will get you 20\u201d, \u201cyoudontsay\u201d.\u00a0 In most places in the US, a 15-year-old is legally a child and is thus below the age of sexual consent.\u00a0 Sex between an adult and a 15-year-old is commonly referred to as \u201cstatutory rape\u201d \u2013 and is a felony sex crime in most places. \u00a0Ignorance of a partner\u2019s age is generally not a valid defense, either. \u00a0You\u2019re doing Rose absolutely no favor by telling the world \u00a0that all he did was get caught \u201cboinking\u201d a 15-year-old girl.<\/a><\/p>\n

None of this is likely convince anyone who doesn\u2019t already believe Rose is a lying tool and a criminal.\u00a0 But posting this here will provide proof of his actual service – and allow detection of his future lies – in a downloadable form for anyone who meets Rose and wants to check on him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
