I  guess I&#8217;m burning out. But, luckily, the folks at <a href=\"http:\/\/guardianofvalor.com\/matt-farmer-american-idols-2013-timothy-poe\/\">Guardian Valor<\/a> didn&#8217;t drop the ball like I did.<\/p>\n<p>According to this Matt Farmer dude, who was on American idol says in the video that he was knocked unconscious by an IED in Iraq and woke up in the hospital in Kuwait. Well, in the Tim Poe model, the folks he served with say that&#8217;s not true. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Here is the back ground.  I was the sniper section leader attached to his company and lived in the same room with him until he was medevac\u2019d from Ramadi because he got drunk while he was taking accutane, an acne medication.<\/p>\n<p>He proceeded to rat out everyone he was drinking with and never came back to the company.  He was never involved in one single direct fire engagement, was never wounded, and made up this whole lie to try and make his story sound good to American Idol.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>The theatre was Ar Ramadi Iraq 1Bn 26inf blue spaders 1ID attached to 1-77ar 1ID and 2nd marine expeditionary force. His actions endangered the rest of his platoon and company and forced the rest of the company to be searched in what is called a \u201chealth and welfare\u201d for illegal substances.<\/p>\n<p>Sgt David Johnson<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Guardians of Valor have a number of other eye witness accounts. So you should read them all and they have a rather lengthy statement from Farmer;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I did drink and overdose on pills. Was Medevaced to Al Asad where i was there fro several days (Not sure how many as most of it was in a drug induced blur) than sent to Laundstill Germany.  There they did lots of psyhc evals where they told me i had PTSD and anxiety disorder.  I was then transfered Back to my unit in Schweinfurt Germany.  I was never KICKED out of iraq.  I was told that i needed to go back to my unit to undergo further evaluations.<\/p>\n<p>EVerything was medical and Psyc.  I wasnt kicked out of iraq or the army. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yeah, it goes on like that. All of the grammar and spelling is original. But basically, farmer says he didn&#8217;t lie, but there is no IED &#8211; it was unauthorized substance abuse that got him tossed out of Iraq and eventually the Army. <\/p>\n<p>All of this phony shit has to end sometime. <\/p>\n<p><strong>UPDATE:<\/strong> It looks like the media is beginning to take notice. At the time of this posting Fox News has posted a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/entertainment\/2013\/01\/31\/american-idol-wannabe-accused-lying-about-his-military-service\/?cmpid=app_pulse\">story about the questions about his military background<\/a>.
