I don\u2019t fault the cops for checking into this once it was reported.\u00a0 And yeah – the guy should have probably put the BB pistol down for the picture.<\/p>\n
But an arrest for “child endangerment”?\u00a0 Give me a freaking break<\/span>.\u00a0 A quick interview and a look at the \u201cscary gun\u201d involved \u2013 plus a dose of common sense \u2013 was what was called for here.\u00a0 Not an arrest for what was obviously a non-crime.<\/p>\nNormally, we talk about \u201cstupid criminal tricks\u201d.\u00a0 Well, maybe we should file this one under \u201cstupid cop tricks.\u201d<\/p>\n
I wonder if any conservative lawyers in Ohio might have time for a bit of pro bono<\/em> work.\u00a0 Based on the photo and other facts reported so far, IMO it\u2019s at least possible there might be a wrongful arrest suit in there somewhere.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
