According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theblaze.com\/stories\/2013\/01\/11\/ed-schultz-makes-bold-claim-that-u-s-has-never-had-a-civilian-stop-a-shooting\/\">The Blaze<\/a> and Leah Barkoukis at <a href=\"http:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/leahbarkoukis\/2013\/01\/11\/ed-schultz-weve-never-had-a-civilian-stop-a-shooting-n1487684?fb_action_ids=10151266503023220&#038;fb_action_types=og.recommends&#038;fb_ref=blogpost_bottom&#038;fb_source=other_multiline&#038;action_object_map={%2210151266503023220%22%3A312008495577898}&#038;action_type_map={%2210151266503023220%22%3A%22og.recommends%22}&#038;action_ref_map={%2210151266503023220%22%3A%22blogpost_bottom%22}\">Townhall<\/a>, Schultz got that from our illiterate friends at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.motherjones.com\/politics\/2012\/09\/mass-shootings-investigation\">Mother Jones<\/a>, and so soon, we&#8217;ll have the trolls stating the same intellectually vacuous crap. <\/p>\n<p>The problem with Mother Jones&#8217; research is that they defined &#8220;mass shootings&#8221; as four or more people killed. Unfortunately for the Left, armed law-abiding civilians on the scene of shootings has the effect of stopping the shootings before they reach Mother Jones&#8217; minimum standard and skews their &#8220;research&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.weeklystandard.com\/blogs\/it-true-armed-civilians-have-never-stopped-mass-shooting_690808.html\">The Weekly Standard<\/a> lists several examples, and it&#8217;s certainly not a complete list.
