The Washington Times<\/a> reports that John “get me a tissue” Boehner, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal says that President Obama has no intention of cutting government spending to balance the budget;<\/p>\n

Boehner added that President Obama continues to maintain that America\u2019s federal deficit is caused not by governmental overspending but by \u201ca health-care problem.\u201d Said Boehner, \u201cThey blame all of the fiscal woes on our health-care system.\u201d Boehner told Obama, \u201cClearly we have a health-care problem, which is about to get worse with Obamacare. But, Mr. President, we have a very serious spending problem.\u201d Obama eventually replied, \u201cI\u2019m getting tired of hearing you say that.\u201d\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I’m getting tired of hearing that you don’t believe it, Mr. President. Well, the article should be corrected, because the President is cutting government spending – in veteran health care.<\/p>\n

In another article, the Washington Times<\/a> reports that the Democrats in Congress are looking for tax hikes, but not spending cuts;<\/p>\n

Democrats are bubbling over with ideas for raking in additional federal revenue even as Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell declared Sunday that \u201cthe tax issue is behind us.\u201d<\/p>\n

But clearly it\u2019s not over for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat, who on Sunday described the revenue increase negotiated in last week\u2019s deal on the \u201cfiscal cliff\u201d as \u201csignificant\u201d but \u201cnot enough.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I think it’s strange that the only cuts in spending that anyone can agree upon are cuts to veteran healthcare. Well, and defense, in general. What’s even stranger is the number of veterans who support these ass-clowns.
