Someone sent us this article from KOKH Fox 25<\/a> in Oklahoma City about some veterans who teach kids about the US flag, which is a laudable enough venture. However, there’s one person in the article who is not being completely honest about his service. Terry Lee Farmer tells horrifying tales of his time in Vietnam;<\/p>\n

“I went into the United States Marine Corps January 4, 1969,” says Terry Farmer, a Veteran and close friend of May’s.<\/p>\n

Both May and Farmer served in Vietnam. They say the flag is what they fought for. “It’s not about us. It’s about the red, white and blue,” says Farmer.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“I saw my best friend…. get his head decapitated. That’s the worst thing I’ve ever seen,” says Farmer, tearing up.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Well, nothing is right about that story. Farmer did did not join the Marines on January 4, 1969, but rather on January 10th, 1971, and the rest is BS, too, according to his records;<\/p>\n

\"Terry<\/a><\/center><\/p>\n

The word is that he was injured in Boot Camp and draws disability for his injury – there’s certainly nothing wrong with that. But I also hear that he blames some of his bad behavior on PTS from his non-existent tour in Vietnam. That’s never acceptable. <\/p>\n

He spent three months in the Marines and never saw Vietnam. That’s Farmer on your right;<\/p>\n

Like I said, it’s commendable that Farmer is doing what he’s doing, Lord knows that kids need to learn more about the flag, but he can do it without making himself out to be something he’s not.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
