{"id":32069,"date":"2012-09-20T06:00:31","date_gmt":"2012-09-20T10:00:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=32069"},"modified":"2012-09-20T07:54:25","modified_gmt":"2012-09-20T11:54:25","slug":"one-way-to-finance-retirement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=32069","title":{"rendered":"One Way to Finance Retirement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Unless, of course, you get caught.<\/p>\n<p>Seems as if a recently-retired Army Master Sergeant decided his retired pay would be less than he and his wife desired.\u00a0 So starting in 2004, for about 6 years he and his wife took measures to ensure a better retirement.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, those measures weren\u2019t legal.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.armytimes.com\/news\/2012\/09\/ap-ex-army-master-sergeant-wife-guilty-scheme-091112\/\">He was making illicit requisitions, ripping off the incoming property, and selling it.<\/a>\u00a0 She was helping him launder the money.<\/p>\n<p>They got caught.\u00a0 And about three weeks ago they pleaded guilty in Federal criminal court.<\/p>\n<p>He got 40 months in prison, plus was required to forfeit $861,000 and four properties.\u00a0 She pleaded guilty to money laundering, but only got 5 years probation.<\/p>\n<p>I kinda wish <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=30382\">James H. \u201cBigamist\u201d Johnson III<\/a> had had the same judge and jury.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Unless, of course, you get caught.
