Yeah, nice try, Hamid. Of course, he brought all of his national security advisers together and they came up with what they thought was a good excuse for the recent spate of green-on-blue attacks – those sneaky spies from other countries are doing it, says Associated Press<\/a>;<\/p>\n

“The reports presented by the security officials in this meeting blamed the infiltration by foreign spy agencies into Afghan security force ranks as responsible for the rise in the individual shootings,” Karzai’s spokesman Aimal Faizi said.<\/p>\n

He said the foreign agencies were trying to undermine confidence in the Afghan security forces.<\/p>\n

“The investigation done so far shows there’s definite infiltration by foreign spy agencies,” Faizi told a small group of internatio<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Yeah, sure. That’s why Taliban videos show them returning to their home towns in Afghanistan celebrating with their neighbors and families. Even the US isn’t buying this crap;<\/p>\n

The United States had no information suggesting that the insider attacks were the work of foreign intelligence services, a senior U.S. defense official said. Instead, he said attacks typically are carried out by Afghans acting on their own, although some might have had help, on occasion, from insurgent networks. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Just a scant few weeks ago, Karzai and his homeboys were blaming the fact that the Americans didn’t understand or respect Afghan culture. Now, it’s not even Afghans doing it. The only excuse left is for them to claim that Americans are dressing up in ANA and ALP uniforms and shoot each other.<\/p>\n
