{"id":31433,"date":"2012-08-09T18:26:39","date_gmt":"2012-08-09T22:26:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=31433"},"modified":"2012-08-09T18:26:39","modified_gmt":"2012-08-09T22:26:39","slug":"hasans-defense-team-tries-to-block-terror-expert-from-testifying","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=31433","title":{"rendered":"Hasan&#8217;s defense team tries to block terror expert from testifying"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cheif Tango sends us a link to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theblaze.com\/stories\/defense-trying-to-stop-terrorism-expert-from-testifying-at-ft-hood-shooters-trial\/\">a Blaze article<\/a> which reports that Nidal Hasan&#8217;s defense team is trying to block <a href=\"http:\/\/counterterrorismblog.org\/experts\/evan-kohlmann\/bio\/\">Evan Kohlman<\/a>, the terrorism expert, from testifying about how he came to the conclusion that Hasan is a home-grown terrorist;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Kohlmann is expected to be questioned during a pretrial hearing Thursday. He has testified for the government in more than two dozen terrorism cases.<\/p>\n<p>If he were to testify, it would be a detour from the government\u2019s official position in the past, which is that the shooting was an act of \u201cworkplace violence\u201d not terrorism.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yeah, so let&#8217;s see how the government decides in this little side drama. They were adamant about Hasan shaving his beard while he&#8217;s getting an Army paycheck. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upi.com\/Top_News\/US\/2012\/07\/26\/Hasan-ordered-to-shave-beard-before-trial\/UPI-14841343315671\/\">Yeah, he was fined $1000<\/a> for not shaving when he was ordered.
