Some of the editing changed the entire context of the answers. For example (the text that was edited out for the broadcast is in bold);<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">GIBSON: Have you ever met a foreign head of state?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>PALIN: There in the state of Alaska, our international trade activities bring in many leaders of other countries. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>GIBSON: And all governors deal with trade delegations. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>PALIN: Right. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>GIBSON: Who act at the behest of their governments. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>PALIN: Right, right. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>GIBSON: I\u2019m talking about somebody who\u2019s a head of state, who can negotiate for that country. Ever met one? <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>PALIN: I have not and I think if you go back in history and if you ask that question of many vice presidents, they may have the same answer that I just gave you.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The answer &#8220;I have not&#8221; was not even the answer to the question Gibson asked in the broadcast of the interview.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/littlegreenfootballs.com\/article\/31245_ABC_News_Hid_Important_Parts_of_Palin_Interview#headline\" target=\"_blank\">Little Green Footballs<\/a> finds that at least one <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upi.com\/news\/issueoftheday\/2008\/09\/12\/ABCs_Gibson_grilled_Palin_hard_but_it_may_backfire\/UPI-81241221234472\/\" target=\"_blank\">UPI reporter isn&#8217;t exactly happy<\/a> with the interview.<\/p>\n<p>All of the complaints I&#8217;ve had about the Post this week <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=2950\" target=\"_blank\">here <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=3063\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>, strangely enough the Post&#8217;s ombudsman, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/article\/2008\/09\/12\/AR2008091202597.html?hpid=opinionsbox1\" target=\"_blank\">Deborah Howell<\/a> has seen nothing untowards in the reportage in the Post (I&#8217;m surprised)<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Many readers thought it was a non-story; others, like Bill Phelps of Indianapolis, objected to the headline &#8212; &#8220;Palin Billed State for Nights Spent at Home&#8221; &#8212; and called it, as Phelps did, &#8220;inaccurate and misleading, as the article repeatedly emphasizes Gov. Palin acted within the law.&#8221; The story&#8217;s third paragraph noted the legality of the payments. It was a legitimate story; the headline was accurate.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yes, the headline was accurate if you don&#8217;t mind being told a quarter of the story and if you if you ignore the attention deficit crowd going straight from the headline to the comments section.<\/p>\n<p>The media tells us to move along, nothing to see here.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mark Levin publishes the entire transcript of Charles Gibson&#8217;s interview with Sarah Palin (h\/t Newsbusters).
