{"id":30470,"date":"2012-06-21T12:04:14","date_gmt":"2012-06-21T16:04:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=30470"},"modified":"2012-06-21T12:04:14","modified_gmt":"2012-06-21T16:04:14","slug":"soldier-sells-10m-in-army-property","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=30470","title":{"rendered":"Soldier sells $10m in Army property"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yeah, this isn&#8217;t a Duffel Blog story, <a href=\"http:\/\/articles.orlandosentinel.com\/2012-06-19\/news\/os-army-unathorized-purchases-20120619_1_orlando-soldier-plea-agreement-orlando-home\">the link was sent<\/a> by Hack Stone; <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Prosecutors said Oyegun manipulated the system, created a fake username and password, bogus points of contact and listed multiple shipping addresses.<\/p>\n<p>Oyegun bought high-end engineering equipment, computer equipment and power tools, charging the goods to the Army, the plea agreement said.<\/p>\n<p>The goods \u2014 including drills, toner cartridges and wireless headsets \u2014 were delivered to a Sanford warehouse, Oyegun&#8217;s home, and to his cousin in Texas.<\/p>\n<p>Oyegun then sold the items at local swap meets, on Craigslist and to other people.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He got away with it for two years and I guess he figured he was a criminal mastermind and the first guy to attempt something like this &#8211; the Army might miss a few thousand dollars worth of stuff for a while, but $10 million is kind of pushing the limits, there, buddy.
