{"id":30067,"date":"2012-05-22T09:23:37","date_gmt":"2012-05-22T13:23:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=30067"},"modified":"2012-05-22T09:24:31","modified_gmt":"2012-05-22T13:24:31","slug":"obama-administration-objects-to-terrorism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=30067","title":{"rendered":"Obama Administration objects to terrorism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well, actually, they object to the Fort Hood murders being characterized as terrorism and it&#8217;s one of their myriad reasons to object to the National Defense Authorization Act set to be debated in the Senate after Memorial Day, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/pjmedia.com\/blog\/purple-hearts-for-fort-hood-victims-listed-as-a-reason-for-obama-veto-threat\/\">Bridget Johnson at PJ Media<\/a> in a link sent to us by Old Trooper;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The statement [from the Office of Management and Budget] then outlined some of \u201ca number\u201d of \u201cconcerns\u201d \u2014 32, to be exact \u2014 including limitations on nuclear force reduction and a provision to block repatriated Guantanamo detainees from traveling to the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>No. 26 on the list of veto-worthy offenses is objection to awarding Purple Hearts to the victims of the Fort Hood and Little Rock shootings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Administration objects to section 552, which would grant Purple Hearts to the victims of the shooting incidents in Fort Hood, Texas, and Little Rock, Arkansas,\u201d the veto threat states. \u201cThe criminal acts that occurred in Little Rock were tried by the State of Arkansas as violations of the State criminal code rather than as acts of terrorism; as a result, this provision could create appellate issues.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yeah, see, that&#8217;s the problem when we subjegate our national security policy to the legal system. Stupid arguments about jurisdictional issues that interfere with an actual policy which hinder an effective defense.<\/p>\n<p>This halfwitted exclusion of these acts as terrorist-related is purely a case of national cognitive dissonance. Those soldiers were shot and killed because they were soldiers and executing their duties in compliance with our national defense policy.
