Bulldog 22, 1\/10 Cav. made a comment<\/a> that he was on TV last night on the local news at KATC<\/a> about the Ortego comment about “why would we want to attract veterans to Louisiana”. So I went looking for the interview.<\/p>\n

So, as always, Ortego says his comments were taken out of context. I don’t know how – he was fairly clear on how he felt that veterans were going to be a burden to the State because we’re all a bunch of nuts. His non-apology makes it sound like we’re all ignorant, too;<\/p>\n

“Honestly, the first thing I think is that I could’ve been a lot clearer,” he said. “My point was that we need to expand services for veterans, they’re serving our country, they come back and too often we cut the vital services that they need the most, that being health care.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
