Our president, who owes all of his policy successes to the military, has sent a bill to Congress that will increase our healthcare premiums several times over the next five years. In a link that several of you sent me over the last few days from the Washington Free Beacon<\/a> (sorry I didn’t use it sooner, but I didn’t trust it until I saw Bill Gertz’ name attached to the article), the Obama Administration admits that the reason they want to jack up the costs is to force veterans into Obamacare;<\/p>\n

Administration officials told Congress that one goal of the increased fees is to force military retirees to reduce their involvement in Tricare and eventually opt out of the program in favor of alternatives established by the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen they talked to us, they did mention the option of healthcare exchanges under Obamacare. So it\u2019s in their mind,\u201d said a congressional aide involved in the issue.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So where are those brainless turds who told me four years ago that no one would ever raise healthcare costs on veterans? I remember dicksmith telling us how good Obama was for veterans and our healthcare system. And Paul Rieckhoff is too busy getting his petition signed for a parade through New York City that will pass by his office to give a tiny rat’s ass about veterans’ healthcare.<\/p>\n

Significantly, the plan calls for increases between 30 percent to 78 percent in Tricare annual premiums for the first year. After that, the plan will impose five-year increases ranging from 94 percent to 345 percent\u2014more than 3 times current levels.<\/p>\n

According to congressional assessments, a retired Army colonel with a family currently paying $460 a year for health care will pay $2,048.<\/p>\n

The new plan hits active duty personnel by increasing co-payments for pharmaceuticals and eliminating incentives for using generic drugs.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Active duty people will get hit as well. That makes complete sense. So those drugs you’ve been getting for PTS, are going to cost you now. <\/p>\n
