Now as the Obama Administration is drawing down our armed forces&#8217; capability, he also wants to deplete the nuclear capability, too (<a href=\"http:\/\/hosted.ap.org\/dynamic\/stories\/U\/US_NUCLEAR_WEAPONS?SITE=AP&#038;SECTION=HOME&#038;TEMPLATE=DEFAULT\">Associated Press<\/a> link);<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Obama administration is weighing options for sharp new cuts to the U.S. nuclear force, including a reduction of up to 80 percent in the number of deployed weapons, The Associated Press has learned.<\/p>\n<p>Even the most modest option now under consideration would be an historic and politically bold disarmament step in a presidential election year, although the plan is in line with President Barack Obama&#8217;s 2009 pledge to pursue the elimination of nuclear weapons.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I don&#8217;t like nuclear weapons, but they&#8217;re a reality in the current climate. With North Korea and Iran, the thugs of the world are getting their grubby paws on nukes and the only reason we haven&#8217;t been the victim of our invention is that we&#8217;ve always had a greater capability to return the favor to anyone who would them on us.<\/p>\n<p>Now we&#8217;re going to unilaterally surrender in the arms race. That&#8217;ll work out well for us.
