{"id":28716,"date":"2012-02-12T12:42:48","date_gmt":"2012-02-12T16:42:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=28716"},"modified":"2012-02-12T12:43:25","modified_gmt":"2012-02-12T16:43:25","slug":"more-articles-like-this","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=28716","title":{"rendered":"More articles like this"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We need more articles like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/2012\/02\/02\/us-usa-economy-veterans-idUSTRE8112CO20120202\">this one from Reuters<\/a> about veterans saving the economy and fewer of the crazed murderous types;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Companies are only too glad they can turn to the growing pool of military veterans, admired for their &#8220;can do&#8221; attitudes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;One of the reasons for employing veterans is that the skills set we are looking for, the values and work ethic are perfectly aligned with the military,&#8221; said David Storch, chief executive officer at AAR.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Veterans are very disciplined, very focused, in addition to the technical skills that the army trains for,&#8221; he told Reuters.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Last year the firm employed 314 veterans, who accounted for 18 percent of AAR&#8217;s total workforce of about 7,000.<\/p>\n<p>Yet there are not enough qualified veterans to plug the technology and engineering skills gap confronting the U.S. labor market.
