{"id":28696,"date":"2012-02-10T15:03:00","date_gmt":"2012-02-10T19:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=28696"},"modified":"2012-02-13T14:49:55","modified_gmt":"2012-02-13T18:49:55","slug":"the-passing-of-a-legend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=28696","title":{"rendered":"The passing of a legend (Morgue report added for doubters)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Someone dropped off <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legacy.com\/obituaries\/nhregister\/obituary.aspx?n=m-patrick-mcmanus&amp;pid=153504637\">a link in one of our posts<\/a> today that announced the passing of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=27215\">the winner of our Phony Soldier Tournament<\/a>, the fellow whom I named <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=16756\">General Ballduster McSoulpatch<\/a>. Even the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=17620\">Army Times like the name<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I remember when we first met, in a picture that the folks at POW Network sent me one Saturday and I distributed the photo to the MilBlog community and we started our first pitchfork brigade search for him. It was the first time that I realized the reach that TAH had when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=16756#comment-167190\">a member of the Houston gay community dropped a dime on him<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, he passed just a few months before the tournament, so it&#8217;s sad that he never knew how much we really thought of him.
