{"id":28504,"date":"2012-01-27T18:12:09","date_gmt":"2012-01-27T22:12:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=28504"},"modified":"2012-01-27T18:12:09","modified_gmt":"2012-01-27T22:12:09","slug":"10th-circuit-reinforces-the-stolen-valor-act-in-strandloff-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=28504","title":{"rendered":"10th Circuit reinforces the Stolen Valor Act in Strandloff case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Unlike their numerically and intellectual inferiors in the 9th Circuit, the three judge panel of the 10th Circuit Court upheld the Stolen Valor Act in regards to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=10619\">Richard Strandlof\/Duncan<\/a> according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/breakingnews\/ci_19835791\">Denver Post<\/a>. Strandlof was a member of both the IVAW and VoteVets who pretended to be a gay Marine Captain with nine fingers (despite sporting ten in the average assortment) and a plate in his unscarred pate.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Today&#8217;s decision by the 10th Circuit means the charges against Strandlof are re-instated and his case goes back to the trial court, where his prosecution can continue.<\/p>\n<p>The 10th Circuit is the second federal appellate court \u2014 one step below the U.S. Supreme Court in authority \u2014 to consider the constitutionality of the Stolen Valor Act.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It probably didn&#8217;t help Strandlof&#8217;s case when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=25945\">he resurfaced in Colorado<\/a> as a gay Jewish lawyer by the name of Rick Gold while he was awaiting the 10th Circuit&#8217;s decision.
