{"id":28081,"date":"2011-12-26T14:11:13","date_gmt":"2011-12-26T18:11:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=28081"},"modified":"2011-12-26T14:11:26","modified_gmt":"2011-12-26T18:11:26","slug":"dick-lugar-blames-tea-party-for-reps-not-controlling-senate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=28081","title":{"rendered":"Dick Lugar blames Tea Party for Reps not controlling Senate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Senator Dick Lugar is facing a primary challenge from Indiana state Treasurer Richard Mourdock, who is backed by Tea Party groups, so Lugar took the opportunity to blame the Tea Party for his party not controlling the Senate according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessweek.com\/news\/2011-12-26\/lugar-says-tea-party-could-cost-senate-republican-majority.html\">Bloomberg<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThere were people who claim that they wanted somebody who was more of their Tea Party aspect, but in doing so they killed off the Republican chances for majority,\u201d Lugar said. \u201cThis is one of the reasons we have a minority in the Senate right now.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>See, that&#8217;s why Republicans don&#8217;t control the Senate&#8230;the Tea Party isn&#8217;t about giving Republicans the majority, it&#8217;s about CONSERVATIVES being in the majority and that&#8217;s why Lugar faces a Tea Party candidate. He may think he&#8217;s conservative, but obviously, the voters don&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>The Republicans running the Senate was no better for the American people than when the Democrats ran it.
