Ya know, when Joe Biden is gone, I’ll miss the fact that he always makes blog-worthy comments on slow news days. Like this one from Politico<\/a>;<\/p>\n

Look, the Taliban per se is not our enemy. That\u2019s critical. There is not a single statement that the president has ever made in any of our policy assertions that the Taliban is our enemy because it threatens U.S. interests. If, in fact, the Taliban is able to collapse the existing government, which is cooperating with us in keeping the bad guys from being able to do damage to us, then that becomes a problem for us. So there\u2019s a dual track here:<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Taliban is not our enemy and the President has never said they were…that might explain why they’re not doing their best to wipe them out. That might explain Joe Biden’s strategy to employ exclusively zombie ninja robots in Afghanistan and why he opposed the surge in Afghanistan. It also explains why they’re negotiating with people who throw acid in the faces of pre-pubescent girls for the crime of attending school and why they think a negotiated agreement would stick. <\/p>\n
