{"id":27971,"date":"2011-12-17T16:17:13","date_gmt":"2011-12-17T20:17:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=27971"},"modified":"2011-12-17T16:17:13","modified_gmt":"2011-12-17T20:17:13","slug":"on-taking-credit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=27971","title":{"rendered":"On taking credit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over at our parent blog, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blackfive.net\/main\/2011\/12\/gloating-about-something-he-had-little-to-do-with.html\">Blackfive<\/a>, the namesake of that hallowed place writes that our President has been taking credit for end of the Iraq War.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Remember, this is someone who voted against funding for our soldiers in combat in Iraq. Also remember that this plan that has now been executed, i.e. our withdrawal from Iraq, was one negotiated by the previous administration before he ever took office.<\/p>\n<p>But that doesn\u2019t at all keep him from using the event as a campaign ad.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He also promised 36 months ag0 that we&#8217;d be out of Iraq within 16 months after he took office. <\/p>\n<p>And, oh, by the way, his Vice President famously announced that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2008\/04\/05\/joe-biden-the-surge-is-a_n_95221.html\">the &#8220;surge&#8221; was a failure<\/a> before it even began.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Biden-surge-failure.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-27973\" title=\"Biden surge failure\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Biden-surge-failure.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"331\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Biden-surge-failure.png 783w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Biden-surge-failure-300x198.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So what, exactly, did they have to do with the end of this chapter of our participation in Iraq.
