Jason] Chaffetz did at a Saratoga Springs town meeting in late June.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So, Doug had doubts about the guy and phoned Chafetz&#8217; office. The Salt Lake Tribune says the citations are forgeries.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe man had everything to be proud of and unfortunately he negated all that by trying to inflate his r\u00e9sum\u00e9. He didn\u2019t just bump it up a little bit, he falsified that record to place himself among the 1,000 most decorated heroes of the Korean War,\u201d said Doug Sterner, curator of the Military Times Hall of Valor, who places legitimate military honors online.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Doug tells me that these types of phonies are becoming more common recently.
