Yeah, nothing happens in Iran without official sanction from one part of the government or another;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In Washington, the White House issued a statement strongly condemning the attacks and saying Iran has an obligation to protect foreign embassies. The U.S. broke off diplomatic relations with Iran during the embassy siege in 1980.<\/p>\n<p>The semiofficial Mehr news agency said embassy staff had left the compound before the mobs entered, but it also said those who occupied the area had taken six staff as hostages. It did not give their nationalities and the report was later removed from the website without elaboration.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yeah, those strongly worded protests will stop them. Can you imagne the reaction from the Arba world if one of Iran&#8217;s embassies were treated like that?
