Someone is complaining again that I’m calling his peers “filthy smelly hippies” Where would I get such an idea? Maybe from Mayor Bloomberg<\/a>;<\/p>\n

Mayor Bloomberg finally decided to wipe Zuccotti Park clean after learning about a rancid outbreak of scabies, lice and lung ailments among protesters.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Fricken scabies, for Pete’s sake. Verum Serum<\/a> reports that there have been threats to fire bomb New York City…on the heels of a Molotov cocktail tossing filthy hippies in Portland<\/a>. Another protester in Chicago<\/a> was arrested on an open warrant for child pornography when police checked a group of pot-smoking hippies. How cliche.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile the 99% is shrinking<\/a>;<\/p>\n

The Occupy Wall Street movement is not wearing well with voters across the country. Only 33% now say that they are supportive of its goals, compared to 45% who say they oppose them. That represents an 11 point shift in the wrong direction for the movement’s support compared to a month ago when 35% of voters said they supported it and 36% were opposed<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

My goodness, what could have happened?<\/p>\n

The media is telling us<\/a> that this photo “is a haunting, cinematic image of brutality…may become the defining one of Occupy unrest”. It’s an 84-year-old woman who claims that she was just passing by a protest minding her own business when suddenly police thugs pepper-sprayed her already-seasoned face (see what I did there?).<\/p>\n

Yeah, brutality, that’s what it is. I’ve been to plenty of protests and I’ve never been pepper-sprayed by the police – mostly because when the police tell me to do something, I comply. And I also know that the older protesters are, the more obnoxious they tend to act because they think they can get away with just about anything because who’d dare to pepper spray their old ass.<\/p>\n

By the way, the woman in the picture is Dorli Rainey and even the Atlantic Wire<\/a> says she’s been an activist for a while. On her blog<\/a>, she calls herself a troublemaker. So she was hardly just passing by when the cops gassed her ass.<\/p>\n
