{"id":27506,"date":"2011-11-16T07:47:03","date_gmt":"2011-11-16T11:47:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=27506"},"modified":"2011-11-16T10:08:49","modified_gmt":"2011-11-16T14:08:49","slug":"charity-fraud","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=27506","title":{"rendered":"Charity fraud?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Someone wrote to tell us about a radio host in St Louis, MO by the name of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.971talk.com\/glover\/index.aspx\">Dave Glover<\/a> beseeched listeners to help Alisa Jenkins, a widowed mother who had lost her husband in Iraq about 18 months ago. <a href=\"http:\/\/themarcbulgerfoundation.com\/foundation_activity\/alisa_jenkins\">The story goes like this<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Eighteen months ago, she and her children were hit with the devastating news that Anthony had been killed in action.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>At this time, Alisha is struggling with the hardship of supporting her family on her own.<br \/>\nTheir utilities have been turned off, and she is behind on her rent and car payment. She is trying to put on a brave face for her children, but has realized that they need help. Now, the most pressing issue for her and her children is being able to stay warm through the winter.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yeah, well, it appears that, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/siadapp.dmdc.osd.mil\/personnel\/CASUALTY\/oif_list_of_names.pdf\">Department of Defense casualty lists<\/a>, there has been no Major Anthony Jenkins killed in Iraq;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/Jenkins-casualties.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-27507\" title=\"Jenkins casualties\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/Jenkins-casualties.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"147\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/Jenkins-casualties.jpg 745w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/Jenkins-casualties-300x88.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And it&#8217;s hard to believe that a mother could burn through $300,000 of tax free insurance money and the monthly check from the Army as well as the Social Security check for the fatherless children.
