{"id":27465,"date":"2011-11-13T20:08:23","date_gmt":"2011-11-14T00:08:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=27465"},"modified":"2012-02-03T02:12:34","modified_gmt":"2012-02-03T06:12:34","slug":"ows-sf-protesters-attack-police-with-weapons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=27465","title":{"rendered":"OWS SF protesters attack police with weapons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yeah, but if the police were to use tear gas or tasers, they&#8217;d be screaming to high heaven; (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/ci_19325023\">Mercury News link<\/a>)<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>About 3:30 p.m., near the Embarcadero and Broadway, police attempted to prevent marching demonstrators from blocking the intersection where MUNI light rail tracks are located.<\/p>\n<p>A female protester emerged from the crowd and an &#8220;exacto razor blade attached to a pen or pencil-like object,&#8221; San Francisco police said in an email.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The female slashed the inside of the officer&#8217;s hand and ran back into the crowd before the officer had time to realize he was cut,&#8221; police said.<\/p>\n<p>In a second incident, a protester grabbed an officer&#8217;s police radio and ran back into the crowd. As the officer attempted to retrieve it, a second protester blocked the officer and tore his uniform and cut his cheek, police said, intimating that a weapon had been used.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>No arrests have been made in these two incidents.<\/p>\n<p>So, in every other country in the world, this would indicate an escalation, which would mean the police need to escalate their response.
