So when an occupier in Burlington gets shot to death, who is the next casualty? Gun owners. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.burlingtonfreepress.com\/article\/20111110\/NEWS02\/111110019\/Breaking-Police-respond-apparent-shooting-City-Hall-Park?odyssey=mod|breaking|text|FRONTPAGE\">Burlington Free Press<\/a> link;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Firearms are not allowed in City Hall Park. [Burlington Mayor Bob Kiss] said the shooting raises questions about the easy availability of firearms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need to reflect on guns in Vermont,\u201d he said. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yeah, whoever shot the protester was already breaking the law by bringing a gun to the park, so what is the logic behind punishing every other gun owner in the State except the person who broke the law?<\/p>\n<p>When I lived in Vermont, the saying went; &#8220;The nicest thing about Burlington is that it&#8217;s so close to Vermont&#8221;.
