Get a gun."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At about the same time today, Old Trooper and Mr Wolf sent us the same link to an article about the Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright discussing a recent attempted rape in his county by a repeat offender. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wyff4.com\/r\/29638219\/detail.html\">WYFF Channel 4<\/a> reports that the sheriff took the opportunity to lecture the press on the benefits of concealed carry weapons;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Wright said, &#8220;It&#8217;s too bad someone with a concealed weapons permit didn&#8217;t walk by. That would fix it.&#8221; He said people are tired of doing the right thing and criminals getting away with their actions.<\/p>\n<p>He said several times, &#8220;I want you to get a concealed weapons permit.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Wright said, &#8220;I&#8217;m tired of looking at victims saying, &#8216;There&#8217;s life after this&#8217; \u2026 I&#8217;m tired of saying, &#8216;We&#8217;re sorry, we can&#8217;t keep them in jail.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Wright said in his view gun control is, &#8220;How fast can you can get the barrel of your gun back on the target?&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>According to the report, Wright mentioned several times that his listeners should get guns and a CCW license.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I want you to get a concealed weapons permit. Don&#8217;t get Mace.
