Scores of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.statesman.com\/blogs\/content\/shared-gen\/blogs\/austin\/blotter\/entries\/2011\/10\/30\/nearly_40_protestors_arrested.html\">Occupy Austin were incarcerated<\/a> yesterdayfor being &#8230;well&#8230;filthy hippies, which in my considered opinion a corporal offense;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The 30 men and eight women who were arrested early Sunday on criminal trespass charges will be released this afternoon, Acevedo said.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier: Thirty-eight Occupy Austin protesters were arrested at City Hall Sunday in a dispute that started over food tables on the plaza.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So.mless the police planned on beating the hippies for a day in jail, nothing will come from the arrests, exept more arrests. In Denver, meantime, Old Trooper sends a link of a protester kncking over a motor cop. He&#8217;ll probably get off, too,<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"MRC TV video player\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mrctv.org\/embed\/107013\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Yeah, when these protests began, the media was telling us how these were no different that the Tea Party protests over the past few years. But I don&#8217;t remember any arrests of tea Patiers or Tea Party protesters getting belligerent with the police. In fact, i only remember minimum police presence. In fact, you can go back to the pictures I took, because I made a point of photographing police presence at Tea Party protests.<\/p>\n<p> There were no reports of rapes, criminal activity or property destruction like we&#8217;ve heard from these filhy hippies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I love to begin the week with pictures of hippies eating gravel.
