The DC police told the organizers that they couldn&#8217;t have tents when they first came last week. I guess &#8220;no tents&#8221; means different things to different people;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/thisainthell\/6241395110\/\" title=\"Occupy DC 006 by jlilyea, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm7.static.flickr.com\/6227\/6241395110_39de571d01.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" alt=\"Occupy DC 006\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Veterans For Peace are here somewhere. I didn&#8217;t see any of the usual suspects, they were probably taking their afternoon nap&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/thisainthell\/6241396512\/\" title=\"Occupy DC 008 by jlilyea, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm7.static.flickr.com\/6229\/6241396512_6bb7df7e8e.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" alt=\"Occupy DC 008\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here are all of the hippies, all twenty or so of them organizing for an action. I heard them talk about chanting and commands delivered by whistle blasts, but I&#8217;m sure that unless they&#8217;rre occupying a Starbucks, they won&#8217;t have much impact on daily life in DC gien their anemic number;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/thisainthell\/6240881089\/\" title=\"Occupy DC 009 by jlilyea, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm7.static.flickr.com\/6103\/6240881089_014ace2e40.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" alt=\"Occupy DC 009\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But they had a cool truck that could probably accommodate the whole contingent instead of pitching the tents. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/thisainthell\/6240884529\/\" title=\"Occupy DC 014 by jlilyea, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm7.static.flickr.com\/6096\/6240884529_cf7dceba43.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" alt=\"Occupy DC 014\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;d think that all of the potential protest targets in DC would have drawn more people&#8230;but then hippies are a lazy lot.
