I really take offense at this latest piece of shit written by serial ritard Gordon Duff, the one he titled “Murder and Torture, the Lasting Legacy of America<\/a>“. to begin with, the idiot numbskull thinks that somehow the Medal of Honor somehow represents murder and torture just by his juxtaposition of a graphic of the Medal in his piece;<\/p>\n

The last Medal of Honor recipient, a Marine, was awarded the Medal for hauling boatloads of wounded US troops though withering gunfire to medical aid. The one before him lost his hand saving his brother Rangers from a live grenade. The one before him charged after the armed enemy to bring back a wounded comrade. What do any of those things have to do with murder or torture?<\/p>\n

He goes on to describe our troops as murders and torturers, based entirely on testimony from people who were in prison for murdering and torturing Americans as if their testimony is gospel;<\/p>\n

How many of our military are war criminals? Over 2 million served, over 500,000 of them claim to be permanently psychologically damaged from taking part. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But, see he was above all of that shit in Vietnam, because he’s a better person than you or me;<\/p>\n

As a combat Marine serving in Vietnam, I periodically shot at people, perhaps a bit more than that. These were armed people. I also searched hundreds of homes. <\/p>\n

I saw some among us choose to shoot at unarmed civilians. I saw this once. I saw one Marine lose his temper and scream at a civilian. I quieted him down.<\/p>\n

We were trained professionals and did the best we could. To me, the rules were simple. You treat people with dignity and respect. Some didn\u2019t follow that rule and in one case I saw a small unit singled out for attack because of abusive acts toward Vietnamese children, very minor by current standards. Slapping, not gang rape<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

See? But today’s troops don’t have the benefit of the vast education and upbringing that 18-year-old Gordon Duff<\/a> had what with his 18-month career in the Marines. Gordon Duff at 18 years old was a better person than any of you who have served since because you won’t come forward and tell us about the rape, torture and murder that you didn’t witness…like Gordon didn’t either.<\/p>\n

of course, it’s all the Republicans’ fault;<\/p>\n

We also have a political party, the GOP, that thinks this should remain national policy, we have a religion, Christian Evangelism and its offshoot, Christian Zionism, that think rape is a form of legitmate questioning, we have political and military leaders who continue to support these policies.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And those of you who read this blog from the Pentagon and SOCOM are complicit, according to Duff, who presents not a bit of proof except quotes from terrorists. So I thank my lucky stars that I have betters like Duff to set me straight.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
