{"id":26120,"date":"2011-08-08T17:36:22","date_gmt":"2011-08-08T21:36:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=26120"},"modified":"2011-08-08T17:47:31","modified_gmt":"2011-08-08T21:47:31","slug":"what-the-670-1-says-about-dan-choi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=26120","title":{"rendered":"What the 670-1 says about Dan Choi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There were some questions in the post about Dan Choi so I looked up when <a href=\"http:\/\/armypubs.army.mil\/epubs\/pdf\/r670_1.pdf\"> (.pdf) wearing the uniform is prohibited and the regs for retired personnel<\/a> wearing the uniform from the much loved Army Regulation 670-1.<\/p>\n<p>In the prohibited category, Choi seems to have hit all of the main prohibitions up to and including the headgear requirement.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Uniform-prohibited.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26121\" title=\"Uniform prohibited\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Uniform-prohibited.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"242\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Uniform-prohibited.png 1020w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Uniform-prohibited-300x145.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Even though Choi is not retired, I included the restrictions for retirees.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/670-1-retired-wear.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26122\" title=\"670-1 retired wear\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/670-1-retired-wear.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"226\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/670-1-retired-wear.png 1013w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/670-1-retired-wear-300x136.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So not only did he manage to hit all of the prohibitions, he hit none of the authorized events. So, any LEOs out there who happen to be at an event where Choi shows up in his &#8220;moral authority&#8221; clothing, feel free to recite these regs to him.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dtic.mil\/whs\/directives\/corres\/pdf\/134410p.pdf\">DoD Policy Directive 1344.10 <\/a> (.pdf) dated February 19, 2008 states specifically;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>4.1.4.
