It never happened according to Jane Fonda. See, she was cancelled from a spot on QVC to engage in the capitalist process of hawking her latest book and QVC viewers threatened to stay away en masse so QVC cancelled her appearance according to an E! Online article sent us by ROS. Fonda proceeded to complain on her blog about the cancellation;

The network said they got a lot of calls yesterday criticizing me for my opposition to the Vietnam War and threatening to boycott the show if I was allowed to appear. I am, to say the least, deeply disappointed that QVC caved to this kind of insane pressure by some well funded and organized political extremist groups. And that they did it without talking to me first,” Fonda wrote on her blog. “I have never shied away from talking about this as I have nothing to hide. I could have pointed out that threats of boycotts are nothing new for me and have never prevented me from having best selling books and exercise DVDs, films, and a Broadway play.

Fonda continued;

Bottom line, this has gone on far too long, this spreading of lies about me! None of it is true. NONE OF IT! I love my country. I have never done anything to hurt my country or the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for us. do not understand what the far right stands to gain by continuing with these myths. In this case, they denied a lot of people the chance to hear about a book that can help make life better, easier and more fulfilling

Yes, we’re spreading lies – like the picture above. And she’s never done anything to hurt the country or the men and women who fight for the country. Well, unless you include things like supporting John Kerry’s Vietnam Veterans Against the War and his Winter Soldier hearings. Or making the anti-war film “FTA”.

According to IMBD, the 1972 “documentary” FTA was;

A documentary about a political troupe headed by actors Jane Fonda and Donald Sutherland which traveled to towns near military bases in the US in the early 1970s. The group put on shows called “F.T.A.”, which stood for “F**k the Army”, and was aimed at convincing soldiers to voice their opposition to the Vietnam War, which was raging at the time. Various singers, actors and other entertainers performed antiwar songs and skits during the show.

Just by being an impudent cunt, Fonda gave aid and comfort to the North Vietnamese and lengthened the war, causing more deaths. What’s most disappointing is the comments at her blog;

Tony says:
July 16, 2011 at 12:42 pm

That is such a shame. I, for one was very much looking forward to seeing your appearance, and am STILL very much looking forward to reading your book.

Perhaps the right is jealous – of your beauty, energy and happiness. Lets face it, its much easier for the government to control the masses when their free thinking is impaired by fear and lethargy.

March on as you have always done! The Universe will still deliver your message

Tyler Smith says:
July 16, 2011 at 11:52 am

That’s a shame. You’d think that after forty some years people would forget about your stance on a war, especially after all the great work you’ve done in the fields of health, women’s rights, etc. since then. We support you, Jane!

Ed Scheid says:
July 16, 2011 at 11:10 am

I am shocked that this could go on still. You remain an inspiration to many people. I came from Pittsburgh to NY to see you in both the ‘Necessary Targets’ reading and in ’33 Variations’. You were powerful in both.

I’m shocked that there are still pinheads out there that think actions don’t have consequences. Sure it’s been forty years and I hope it goes on for another 40 years. And let this be an example for anyone else in Hollywood who has the same aspirations.

See that picture above?
