{"id":25821,"date":"2011-07-12T13:31:34","date_gmt":"2011-07-12T17:31:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=25821"},"modified":"2011-07-12T13:32:16","modified_gmt":"2011-07-12T17:32:16","slug":"ron-paul-wont-seek-reelection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=25821","title":{"rendered":"Ron Paul won&#8217;t seek reelection"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ron Paul claims that he won&#8217;t seek reelection for his congressional seat in 2012 so that he can focus on his presidential run next year according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/2011\/07\/12\/rep-ron-paul-wont-seek-congressional-seat-in-2012\/\">Fox News<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Paul made the announcement via Twitter, and linked to a local Texas newspaper to share the details.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I felt it was better that I concentrate on one election,&#8221; Paul told The Facts, a news service covering Brazoria County, Texas, a portion of which Paul represents. &#8220;It&#8217;s about that time when I should change tactics.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>We may be rid of him by the end of February. Of course, he&#8217;ll probably continue to soak his hard-headed supporters who were still sending him money right up until the end of the 2008 election, although he&#8217;d been out of the race before mid-April. Somehow they were convinced he could still win. He carried 1% of the primary vote among Republicans.
