Nidal  Malik Hasan will face the death penalty in connection with the November 2009 mass shooting at Fort Hood that killed 13 people.<\/p>\n<p>Hasan has been referred to a general court martial, a Fort Hood news release says. Next, a military judge has to be selected to hear the case and determine when Hasan will be arraigned.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Naw, let&#8217;s pick the firing squad first &#8211; give everyone something to look forward to. Or a hangman in a dark hooded robe who can stand in the corner of the court room holding a noose in one hand. I&#8217;m opposed to the death penalty usually, but this is one that will give me a measure of delight.
