{"id":24784,"date":"2011-06-22T18:08:25","date_gmt":"2011-06-22T22:08:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=24784"},"modified":"2011-06-22T18:19:37","modified_gmt":"2011-06-22T22:19:37","slug":"marine-arrested-near-pentagon-implicated-in-shootings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=24784","title":{"rendered":"Marine arrested near Pentagon implicated in shootings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yonathan Melaku who was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=24208\">arrested near the Pentagon last week <\/a>is currently suspected of the shootings at the Pentagon and Marine Corps Museum last year according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/ap.stripes.com\/dynamic\/stories\/U\/US_MILITARY_BUILDINGS_SHOOTINGS?SITE=DCSAS&#038;SECTION=HOME&#038;TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&#038;CTIME=2011-06-22-17-36-31\">Associated Press\/Stars &#038; Stripes<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The shootings last year did not injure anyone. The Marine Corps museum was targeted twice. Two windows were shot out at the Pentagon, and a Marine Corps recruiting station in Chantilly, Va., outside Washington was also targeted.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, FBI officials suspected that the shooter had some sort of gripe against the Marine Corps. Authorities said the shootings were done with the same gun.<\/p>\n<p>Peter Carr, a spokesman for the U.S. attorney in the eastern District of Virginia, declined comment except to say that Melaku remains under investigation following last week&#8217;s incident. An FBI spokesman also declined comment Wednesday.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So I guess this what Mark Potok, the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Department of Homeland Security were talking about two years ago when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=9619\">they said that veterans are susceptible to terrorist activities <\/a>committed by the right&#8217;s hate groups.
