On that same thread, some<a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=15745&#038;cpage=1#comment-159516\"> PAO bint named Caitlin Hayden from the embassy came on this blog<\/a> to tell us that we were wrong. Well. today, Afghan President Hamid <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stripes.com\/u-s-involved-in-talks-with-taliban-karzai-says-1.146835\">Karzai told Reuters<\/a> that the US is involved with negotiations with the Taliban;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Diplomats have said there have been preliminary talks between the two sides for months, and Karzai has said Afghans are in contact with insurgent groups.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Peace talks are going on with the Taliban. The foreign military and especially the United States itself is going ahead with these negotiations,&#8221; Karzai was quoted as saying in the Reuters article.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Embassy in Kabul declined immediate comment.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So will Caitlin come back to scold us again today?
