{"id":23622,"date":"2011-05-28T15:20:11","date_gmt":"2011-05-28T19:20:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=23622"},"modified":"2011-05-28T15:20:11","modified_gmt":"2011-05-28T19:20:11","slug":"the-civil-war","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=23622","title":{"rendered":"The Civil War"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ll be headed over to Gettysburg and Antietam shortly, and I have been reviewing Civil War history via several sources.<\/p>\n<p>John Brown and his raid on<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/John_Brown%27s_raid_on_Harpers_Ferry\" target=\"_blank\"> Harper&#8217;s Ferry<\/a> served as a precursor. Been there.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Battle_of_Philippi_%28West_Virginia%29\" target=\"_blank\">first land battle took place not far from here (a skirmish really) at Philippi.<\/a> Been there.<\/p>\n<p>General McClellan made his bones at <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Battle_of_Rich_Mountain\" target=\"_blank\">The Battle of Rich Mountain<\/a>. Been there. There is a wonderful little cemetery at Beverly, WV with Civil War dead, and other similar resting places are  scattered around the immediate area. Numerous &#8216;little skirmishes&#8217; took place nearby<\/p>\n<p>A word&#8230; Synchronicity; is on my mind. I don&#8217;t think my concerns fall under the Conspiracy Nut umbrella?
