It didn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>Surely Rev. Wright?  Nope.<\/p>\n<p>Terrorists William Ayers for sure?  Nope.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFinally proud of my country\u201d?  Nope.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cClinging to guns and religion\u201d?  Nope.<\/p>\n<p>I was beginning to think that a true Teflon man was walking among us.<\/p>\n<p>Then something totally unsuspected happened at the Saddleback Civil Forum.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Pastor:<br \/>\nNOW, LET&#8217;S DEAL WITH ABORTION. 40 MILLION<br \/>\nABORTIONS SINCE ROE V. WADE. YOU KNOW, AS A PASTOR I<br \/>\nHAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS ALL OF THE TIME. ALL OF THE<br \/>\nPAIN AND ALL OF THE CONFLICTS. I KNOW THIS IS A VERY<br \/>\nCOMPLEX ISSUE. 40 MILLION ABORTIONS. AT WHAT POINT<br \/>\nDOES A BABY GET HUMAN RIGHTS IN YOUR VIEW?<\/p>\n<p>Obama:<br \/>\nWELL, I THINK THAT WHETHER YOU ARE LOOKING AT<br \/>\nIT FROM A THEOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE OR A SCIENTIFIC<br \/>\nPERSPECTIVE, ANSWERING THAT QUESTION WITH SPECIFICITY,<br \/>\nYOU KNOW, IS ABOVE MY PAY GRADE.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Above my pay grade?  What pay grade are you running for dumb ass?<\/p>\n<p>Truthfully, all of the above probably had something to do with a 15 point swing but it is interesting to watch a guaranteed winner collapse (other than the NY Mets).<\/p>\n<p>I think he is so damaged right now that he will get desperate and pick Hillary for VP (if Michelle will let him).  If he does, he can keep it close.  If he doesn\u2019t, he will be beaten like a rented mule.  And the Clintons will make sure of that.<\/p>\n<p>Hillary of course has absolutely no idea what are \u201csupporters\u201d are emailing about.  Via HotAir:  <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Hillary Clinton\u2019s supporters will not go quietly, it seems.  According to a Scripps-Howard report this morning, unnamed backers of Hillary have begun a \u201cmassive\u201d e-mail campaign insisting that she won more votes and is the only electable candidate in 2008.  Perhaps, in consideration of the polling free-fall Barack Obama has experienced this summer, they may have a point (via TMV):<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>How about this for a career decision?  Pick her and be rightly perceived as pathetically weak, don\u2019t pick her and be proven so?
