From <a href=\"http:\/\/ca.news.yahoo.com\/man-tried-hijack-italian-plane-overpowered-221132812.html\">Reuters<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Witnesses said the man put a small knife to the throat of a female flight attendant and held her for a few minutes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The man grabbed the stewardess from behind her back and pointed the knife. She was in difficulty and tried to turn around,&#8221; a passenger named Sofia told reporters.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>His moment of glory lasted only seconds;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;He held her for just a few minutes and then the other flight attendants intervened and passengers helped hold the man to the floor,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>Italian media said police had identified the man as a 48-year-old citizen of Kazakhstan who worked in Paris.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And they wonder why terrorists are getting through European security with underwear bombs. Thank goodness passengers have learned not to be passive.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/world\/2011\/04\/24\/alitalia-crew-reportedly-foils-hijacking-attempt\/\">Fox says it was nail clippers<\/a> and not a knife.
