But anyway, as soon as Congress ended their session on August First, gas prices plummeted\u00a0 about 15 cents per gallon.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/biz.yahoo.com\/cnnm\/080811\/081108_fuel.html?.v=1\" target=\"_blank\">CNN says<\/a> the trend has been going on for the last 25 days;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The national average price for a gallon of regular gas fell to $3.81 from $3.818 a gallon the previous day, motorist group AAA said.<\/p>\n<p>Gas prices have fallen more than 7% since hitting a record high of $4.114 on July 16, though prices remain more than $1 above year-ago levels.<\/p>\n<p>Gas prices have eased substantially over the last 3-1\/2 weeks following a sustained drop in the price of crude oil, gasoline&#8217;s primary ingredient.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>But like I said, it seems that the day Congress ended it&#8217;s session it dropped significantly.
