{"id":22344,"date":"2011-02-21T01:47:11","date_gmt":"2011-02-21T05:47:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=22344"},"modified":"2012-01-11T20:29:22","modified_gmt":"2012-01-12T00:29:22","slug":"alleged-defections-in-lybia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=22344","title":{"rendered":"Alleged defections in Libya."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This has just post a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myfoxny.com\/dpps\/news\/members-of-libyan-army-reportedly-defect-dpgonc-km-20110220_11973119\">few minutes ago<\/a>.<br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nMembers of a Libyan army unit told residents of the flashpoint eastern city of Benghazi Sunday that they had defected and liberated the city from forces supporting the four decades of rule by Moamar Ghadafi, Reuters reported.<\/p>\n<p>And speaking from Benghazi, a local man named Benali told Sky News that anti-regime protesters were now in control of the city, the second largest in the oil-rich African nation.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Now there are a lot of unanswered questions here like the number of soldiers and rank. But one of the biggest is how the Lybian government will react to this if this story is creditable. We shall see where this all leads. <\/p>\n<p>Also the US is attempting to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/2011\/02\/21\/libya-usa-idUSN2014896520110221\">apply pressure<\/a> to Libyan to back down its threats of action against the local protesters. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>U.S. President Barack Obama&#8217;s administration also signaledthat the Libyan government might face consequences if it did not take heed of warnings to rein in its security forces and respect its citizens&#8217; right to protest.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Something tells me that they will not be impressed. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This has just post a few minutes ago.
