{"id":21986,"date":"2011-01-26T10:08:21","date_gmt":"2011-01-26T14:08:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=21986"},"modified":"2011-01-26T10:08:21","modified_gmt":"2011-01-26T14:08:21","slug":"feds-bust-gun-running-ring-in-arizona","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=21986","title":{"rendered":"Feds bust gun running ring in Arizona"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>US prosecutors are indicting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/2011\/01\/26\/grand-jury-indicts-alleged-gun-smuggle-ring\/#ixzz1C9MbfNKN\">twenty people on gun smuggling charges<\/a>, including two &#8220;straw purchasers&#8221;.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Authorities said the ring is believed to have supplied the Sinaloa cartel with guns, and that some of the weapons bought by the group were used in shootings in Mexico. In all, 560 guns were recovered, a third in Mexico and the rest mostly in Arizona.<\/p>\n<p>Many guns recovered in Mexico come from America&#8217;s four southern border states. Drug smugglers seek out guns in America because gun laws in Mexico are more restrictive than in the United States.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Apparently, the gun dealers were within the law since they haven&#8217;t been indicted.<\/p>\n<p>While I&#8217;m glad that the Feds can stop gun smugglers across the border, I&#8217;d appreciate it if they&#8217;d put the same kind of effort into stopping people from crossing the same border.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>US prosecutors are indicting twenty people on gun smuggling charges, including two &#8220;straw purchasers&#8221;.
