But just in case here is the short version. Guy goes into a Best Buy and tries to steal a laptop computer. When confronted by the store employees he ran for the door waving a knife in hand and ran into a few Marines doing the Toys for Tots.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Outside the door were four Marines and seven volunteers collecting donations for Toys for Tots.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;(Duggan) clotheslined him, and after that he kind up got up and started swinging a knife around,&#8221; Smith said.<\/p>\n<p>Gunnery Sgt. Robert Richie said Attaway &#8220;came over the top and got (Duggan) in the back.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Attaway ran again but didn&#8217;t get far before Richie, several other Marines and members of the store&#8217;s loss-prevention team tackled him in the parking lot and held him until deputies arrived.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I hate to be that guy, I mean causing a Marine to bled in front of 4 other Marines can only be bad news. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Fellow Marines identified the injured man as Cpl. Phillip Duggan, 24, who spent part of Black Friday recuperating at Eisenhower Army Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/chronicle.augusta.com\/news\/crime-courts\/2010-11-26\/shoplifting-suspect-stabs-marine\">attacker <\/a>has been arrested and facing charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a knife in the commission of a crime. <\/p>\n<p>The story has been checked by<a href=\"http:\/\/www.snopes.com\/politics\/military\/stabbedmarine.asp\"> Snopes<\/a>. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some of you may have hear this story.
