Not that he actually kept the promise, mind you. there are still combat formations in Iraq, but they&#8217;re camouflaged under a different title, and there&#8217;s fewer of them. It&#8217;s now called Summer&#8217;s Eve, or something (New Dawn, perchance?) and the units are called things like the 3rd Armored, Yet Non-Lethal, Advisor Contingent of Jolly Fellows &#8216;n Gals. They still sleep with their weapons and ammo within arm&#8217;s reach.<\/p>\n<p>So actually, Obama made a promise three years ago to change the nomenclatures of the things we deploy to Iraq and after 18 months, he kept his promise.
