{"id":20127,"date":"2010-08-13T19:38:13","date_gmt":"2010-08-13T23:38:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=20127"},"modified":"2010-08-13T19:38:13","modified_gmt":"2010-08-13T23:38:13","slug":"the-national-infantry-museum-a-place-you-should-visit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=20127","title":{"rendered":"The National Infantry Museum: A Place You Should Visit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was in Atlanta this week to visit some family and I decided to take a day trip to Columbus, Georgia to visit the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalinfantrymuseum.com\/\">National Infantry Museum<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/IMG_0413.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-20128\" title=\"IMG_0413\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/IMG_0413-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/IMG_0413-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/IMG_0413-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I spent about three hours at the museum and it was definitely worth the drive. There are exhibits covering every period of American military history (however, the Revolutionary and Civil War eras are under construction) and there is also an extensive exhibit on the training that goes on at Fort Benning. There is also a Ranger Hall of Fame exhibit and an indoor virtual rifle range (which I wasn&#8217;t really interested in). Finally, there is a pretty good bar and\u00a0restaurant\u00a0upstairs if you want to get some food.<\/p>\n<p>I recommend avoiding Mondays, since that is usually when OCS and ITB will send their classes over to the museum for a visit.
