{"id":19900,"date":"2010-07-27T17:24:19","date_gmt":"2010-07-27T21:24:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=19900"},"modified":"2010-07-27T17:25:28","modified_gmt":"2010-07-27T21:25:28","slug":"a-little-late-but-welcome-france","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=19900","title":{"rendered":"A little late but&#8230;welcome, France"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nine years after George Bush declared war on al Qaeda, the French have finally done the same according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/s\/ap\/20100727\/ap_on_re_eu\/eu_france_al_qaida_hostage\">Associated Press<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;We are at war with al-Qaida,&#8221; Prime Minister Francois Fillon said Tuesday, a day after President Nicolas Sarkozy announced the death of 78-year-old hostage Michel Germaneau.<\/p>\n<p>The humanitarian worker had been abducted April 20 or 22 in Niger by al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb, and was later taken to Mali, officials said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Unfortunately for France, the US has promised &#8220;&#8230;it would help the French &#8220;in any way that we can&#8221; to bring those who killed Germaneau to justice&#8230;.&#8221; I&#8217;m pretty sure that a declaration of war is in no way a way to bring justice to anyone.
