{"id":19866,"date":"2010-07-25T13:41:40","date_gmt":"2010-07-25T17:41:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=19866"},"modified":"2010-07-25T13:59:43","modified_gmt":"2010-07-25T17:59:43","slug":"supremes-to-hear-userra-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=19866","title":{"rendered":"Supremes to Hear USERRA Case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Military.com<a href=\"http:\/\/www.military.com\/news\/article\/userra-case-heads-for-supreme-court.html?ESRC=eb.nl\"> reports<\/a> that the case of a former U.S. Army Reserve Sgt is heading to the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Vincent Staub sued his former employer, Proctor Hospital of Peoria,   Ill., in 2004 after being fired from his job. He claims he was let go   after fellow employees, bitter or resentful over his taking time off for   military service, conspired to damage his job performance. Staub won  in  district court in Illinois but had the verdict overturned by the 7th   Circuit Court of Appeals in March 2009.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I&#8217;m hoping that this is a strong case.\u00a0 As others report in the article, if the court rules for the employer, the fallout will cripple USERRA.
