I don’t know much about what is going on in the world, but I know this doesn’t protect the public (Associated Press<\/a> link);<\/p>\n

Lt. Dan Choi and James Pietrangelo, a gay army captain honorably discharged for disclosing his sexual orientation, were in court Wednesday on charges of failure to obey police orders during the March and April protests. All charges were dropped against them.<\/p>\n

Choi and his attorney had subpoenaed President Barack Obama to appear, but an attorney for the prosecution said the subpoena wasn’t served.<\/p>\n

Prosecutor Christine Chang declined to comment on why the government dropped the case.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I’ve watched charges dropped against Adam Kokesh, Cindy Sheehan, Matthis Chiroux, Medea Benjamin to name a few for their inability to conform to the laws that protect our society. Every time they get arrested and the charges are dropped, their antics increase in intensity and foolhardiness. So why do we even have courts anymore if all they’re going to do is drop charges against these meatheads? They can’t even toss them in the hoosegow for a fricken day?<\/p>\n
