The report is this one by a independent group  titled <a href=\"http:\/\/papers.nber.org\/papers\/w16152#fromrss\"> The Effect of Civilian Casualties in Afghanistan and Iraq<\/a>.  So of course Rethink Afghanistan jumps all over it with this follow up <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/note.php?note_id=124548984255486&#038;id=54124414652&#038;ref=mf\">story<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Yea like we are not trying to do this already. <\/p>\n<p>Also the photo is worth a look.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net\/hphotos-ak-snc4\/hs021.snc4\/33417_142427055772141_100000145431507_445032_1714961_n.jpg\" title=\"Afghan Kids\" class=\"alignnone\" width=\"350\" height=\"350\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A few things come to mind. The first is a absolute desire from the person taking the photo to cause the viewer to become distanced from the Solider. Following that it is trying to do the opposite with the children in the photo. Lastly, does it not look like there is a cap on that M16? <\/p>\n<p>It is just frustrating I mean that people do not see things like this.
